About Us

Who Are We?

The Contra Costa Cake and Sugar Art Society (CCCSAS) is one of the few active cake
decorating clubs in the Bay Area. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the sugar
arts. You do not have to have any experience to join or you may be a professional with years
of knowledge. Our members run the gambit of skill and experience.

CCCSAS meets on the second Thursday of every month from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at a
location announced each month. Meeting details and directions are posted on our web site
at www.contracostacakeclub.org

Members receive email notifications of meetings and other events. Our monthly newsletter is
full of CCCSAS information, recipes, and news about the cake and sugar world. The
newsletter is emailed to members monthly and is archived for members to access on our
web site. Non-members pay $10.00 per meeting to attend a monthly meeting. Funds are
used to pay for facilities rental for monthly meetings.

Founded in 2006 CCCSAS is a volunteer organization dedicated to sharing, promoting,
encouraging and spreading the appreciation and practice of the art of cake decorating and all
confectionery art forms. CCCSAS monthly meetings are educational and fun. Each month
features a demonstration, presentation and or a hands-on activity for everyone to enjoy.
CCCSAS goes on field trips several times a year to regional culinary, cake and sugar related
locations. CCCSAS also supports the community through volunteer and charitable outreach
programs.

Have you ever wondered how those decorators on the Food Network do what they do? We
have an incredibly talented and knowledgeable membership who can answer your
questions. Our members range from the home baker/decorator to business owners,
instructors and professionals all willing to share their experience with you. Come join us and
